How the black points system works
Points attach to violations alongside the cash fine – from 2 points for minor offenses up to 23-24 for drink driving or fleeing an accident. They accumulate across all emirates on one federal record, and each violation’s points expire 12 months after the offense date. Check your current balance on the Dubai Police or MOI app before assuming.
